The ask: Create a non-alcoholic offering for sober curious Gen Z
Insight: Without holding a drink, holding conversations may be too much to handle. And that’s just plain awkward
Big idea: Create a conversation starter that’s more exciting to hold than your run-of-the-mill drink
So what’s the problem with Gen Z?
They’re anxious and friendless.
Gen Z is dubbed the loneliest generation, with 60% of them having an anxiety disorder and 27% having no close friends. Being chronically online has expedited their social anxiety, and many struggle with loneliness and have difficulties starting in-person conversations.
As Gen Z becomes increasingly sober-curious, many are ditching the drink. But with that, they’ve lost hold of the social lubricant that eases up the pressure of making connections.
How do we help Gen Z?
Remember your multi-click pen from grade school? The one with all the colors to choose from?
Imagine sipping out of it.
One straw, four flavors. Four ways to infuse your drink. Add a bit of bite to water, soda, and everything in between.
Tried & True - Inspired by the original Maker’s Mark.
Kentucky Kiss - Drawing notes from rich and sweet treats.
Derby Delight - Marked by tart and bitter flavors.
Fuzz Buzz - Reminiscent of peachy sweet days.
Staying true to all of Maker’s Mark offerings, the Kentucky Quad-Barrel Sipper is reusable, sustainable, and always bites back.
How does that innovative straw work?
How do we go beyond the drink?
Put a stamp under your sip sitter!
Situated at your local bar, The Whiskeyprint is an exciting, interactive coaster-making activity that goes beyond the beverage. Each coaster has a different spirited saying, so grab that new friend, mosey on over, and get to stamping.
